    7 Days Classic Vietnam Hanoi – Ha Long – Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta

    Overview

    This 7 days Classic Vietnam tour will give you a chance to explore the hidden magic and natural splendour of Vietnam. This will take you on the most memorable trip to the center and south of the country exploring the famous sites, from the ancient quarter of Hanoi to the bustling city of Ho Chi Minh and the small villages around the Mekong Delta. You will also get an opportunity to have seen the breath-taking seascape of Halong Bay.

    Day 1
    Hanoi Arrival

    Arrival at the Noi Bai International Airport of Hanoi. Our guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel in the city which approx. a 40 min drive. 

    Hanoi is Vietnam’s capital with a thousand-year-old history dating back to 1010. The city’s fascinating beauty is characterized by its unique cultural relics, ancient streets with antique houses, many elegant French colonial buildings, tree-lined boulevards and beautiful romantic lakes has made it one of the most charming cities of Asia.

    Day 2
    Hanoi Full Day City Tour

    Breakfast at the hotel. Later, proceed for the sightseeing tour of the city.

    Visit Ho Chi Minh Complex which features the life of Ho Chi Minh, the nation’s founder. At the complex, visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the colonial Presidential Palace, the One Pillar Pagoda. Continue to the Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam built in 1070 by the Ly Dynasty to honor Confucius, sages and outstanding Vietnamese scholars. 

    Continue the visit the Museum of Fine Arts, the National Museum of Vietnamese History, the Museum of Revolution, the Museum of Military History or the Museum of Ethnology. Also visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple located on an islet in the lake. Hoan Kiem Lake is the center point of Hanoi and home to a rare endangered giant turtle species. 

    Evening walk at leisure in the Old Quarter of 36 ancient streets.

    Day 3
    Hanoi – Ha Long

    Have early breakfast at the hotel. Our driver will meet you at 8 am to take you to the Ha Long Bay, which is about 160 km or 3.5-hour drive away. On the way, explore the rural areas of the Red River Delta with Vietnamese farmers working in paddy fields. 

    Arrive at the Ha Long City at 11:30 AM and head to the port to board the cruise. Enjoy lunch on board with the mighty bay view. Ha Long Bay also means Descending Dragon Bay in Vietnamese is considered as one of the world’s wonders and heritage sites whose formation dates back 500 million years, consists of 2,000 karst islands that are scattered over an area of 1,553 kms. The bay cruise will take you to the Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, Sail Island, a visit to Sung Sot Cave and also swimming stop at Titov Beach. Relax to enjoy the beautiful bay sunset, have dinner, and spend a night on board.

    Day 4
    Ha Long – Hanoi – Flight To Saigon

    Wake up early to enjoy the splendid yet serene view of the bay. Breathe the fresh air, feel the morning breeze and hear the sounds of the sea. Have breakfast and cruise to visit Tortoise Island and Human head shaped island. Continue to cruise into Bai Tu Long Bay to discover the bay of “The Little Dragon Bowing to His Mother”. Have lunch on board and check out. Heading to shore to disembark and transfer back to Hanoi airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. 

    Reach Saigon city, and you will be welcomed by our guide at the airport. Transfer to the hotel. Check in and retire for the day.  

    Ho Chi Minh City formerly known as Saigon is the largest city and the economic center of Vietnam. It is always busy with activities of the modern life, businesses converge and shopping. However the city has a rich historical legacy along with its dazzling glamor.

    Day 5
    Saigon Full Day Tour

    Breakfast at the hotel. 

    Later start for a half-day tour to the Cu Chi Tunnels which is located 75 km Northwest of downtown Ho Chi Minh City. It is where once a major underground hideout and resistance base of Viet Cong forces were located during the two wars against the French and later on against  the Americans. The tunnels which were entirely hand-dugged, showcase a highly intricate network of interlinked multilevel passageways and is stretched as far as the Cambodian border.  It has meeting rooms, kitchens, wells, clinics, schools, depots, trenches and emergency exits which was all aimed for guerrilla warfare. The tunnels were built deep and are strong enough to withstand the destructive bombings and was self-contained enough to outlast prolonged sieges at the time. 

    Later return back to Saigon.

    After lunch, start for another half-day city tour to visit outside of Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica which is a neo-Roman cathedral built by the colonial French. Also visit the Saigon Central Post Office, which was designed and constructed in early 20th Century by the one of the most famous French architect Gustave Eiffel. 

    Then, we proceed to the War Remnants Museum, which features an extensive collection of weaponry, photos and documentation from the wars with the French and Americans. 

    Evening you have time free for shopping or explore at leisure. Overnight at Ho Chi Minh city.

    Day 6
    Saigon – Full Day Mytho (Mekong Delta) 65km–2hour Driving

    Have early breakfast at the hotel. 

    Later we head by road to the Mekong Delta, the world’s largest delta and Vietnam’s largest rice bowl. 

    On arrival at My Tho City, embark on a boat and navigate through intricate canals. Observe the local daily life up close and explore the landscape of waterways and lush islands. Then we move further to the second delta province, Ben Tre, where you will watch the local villagers making coconut candy in a rural workshop. We then explore some bee-keeping households where we taste fresh homegrown honey and relish some hot honey tea.

    Later we drive back to the Ho Chi Minh City and spend rest of the evening at leisure.

    Day 7
    Saigon Departure

    Breakfast at the hotel.

    Later, as per your flight timings, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home or to the next destination.
